生 與 死

很極端對立的兩個字嗎 

我坐在圖書館桌前的同時 

有多少人正面對這樣的掙扎 

在保溫箱裡的早產兒求生

求那一絲絲可以活下去的氣息及可能

而有生活不如意的人求死  

只要可以不用去面對窘境

活著的目的是什麼?

花了一輩子的時間尋找

到閉上眼、放手了之時  

有的人領悟到了

有的人仍找不到

好沉重吧

我在這讓人屏息的冬天裡  

思緒變得又鈍又冷   

我試著想些得花很多時間去思考的問題

讓腦袋別跟著凍僵

都是這英美文學作品與文化啊  

我是這樣的投入其中而無法自拔
